Trail Riding
Rivendell Ranch is nestled along the Grand River, offering miles of trails for both beginner and advanced riders. Enjoy the breath taking views on horseback and all that nature has to offer.
The wonderful part about trail riding is that it is accessible to anyone! You need no experience to ride, and we are happy to introduce you to the beauty of one of nature's most incredible animals.
For your safety our trails are walk/trot only. We have helmets available free of charge, riders under the age of 18 are required to wear one — as dictated by Ontario law. Our trail rides are available to children over the age of 12, and Rivendell Ranch reserves the right to use their discretion if a child appears younger.

We are open all year round. Riders should plan to arrive 25 minutes prior to their appointment to ensure there is enough time to fill out paperwork and receive proper instruction.
Trail rides are available September through May on weekends, June through August trails are available Friday, Saturday and Sunday. If you are looking to travel the trails on our off times, please call us to discuss availability and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
Coming in 2010! We are developing our beachfront swimming area, building a picnic area, volleyball nets, and horseshoe pits. All will be available for our guests to enjoy.
Grand River Trail (1-1/2 hours)

Sunset Ride (1-1/2 hours)

Travel through the quiet trails along the Grand River and finish your day watching the sun set behind the trees.
Cookout Ride (Approx. 4 hours)
$125/person
This half day ride allows you to travel our beautifully wooded trails and explore the Grand River area. Enjoy our beach front at the pond and relax while our wranglers prepare the perfect campfire to roast marshmallows and hotdogs. A minimum booking of six people is required.
Family Cookout Ride
$395 (Package based on 2 Adults, 2 Children)
Additional riders $75 each)
This private ride lasts approximately 2-1/2 hours and travels along the Grand River. The trail is highlighted by a cowboy cookout featuring hotdogs, salad, smores, and marshmallows. Enjoy our beachfront and swimming area as you relax and enjoy the fresh air.
Romantic Picnic Package (2 + hours)
$295 (Based on 2 riders)
A private trail ride along the beach with a picnic basket of goodies to enjoy along the Grand River.
Private Rides (1 hour)
$50 per person
Perfect for romantic outings or advanced riders (assessed at Wranglers discretion). Loping is available when trail conditions are appropriate.
All riders must have a signed waiver.
